Signature Snake (Teal & Ochre Glaze)

Contemporary ceramic vessel depicting a ball/royal python (snake).
Each stoneware piece is handmade, by first throwing a bowl shape on the potters wheel. The top of the piece is sculpted separately and reproduced using custom moulds. The two pieces are then married together and hand beaten into one spherical form as the final scale carvings are completed. Once bisque dry, the form is painted like a canvas in layers using bespoke glazes to replicate a serene snake skin finish.
